On the second Saturday of every month, running from September through June, the Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church presents an open mic. This free open mic and coffee house is known for its informal atmosphere, incredible acoustics and, of course, its broad range of talent. Refreshments are free, but donations are always welcome.

Open mic starts at 8:00, performers can start coming at 7:30 to sign up, continuing throughout the evening until all who've signed up have had an opportunity to play (usually by 11).

Our friendly MC, Syl Smith, who composes his own songs and worked clubs in Florida in the '70's, hosted Cafe Florian in the late '80's & throughout most of the '90's and is now back as our savvy host.
This venue was started by singer and guitar player Grace Griffith, who went on to be a noted recording artist and WAMMIE award winner.

Performers have included musicians (folk, blues, jazz, rock, pop, classical), poets, storytellers, comedians, and even some dance. Come hear the music, jokes, original poems, and stories. A grand piano is available for your use.
