| The
links to the left connect you to information about our director,
choir, musicians, and more. This
page is
about the actual music we use, particularly the hymns. We like to
have a variety of genre, including jazz, classical, choral, folk,
popular, country, mixed, and international. Check our calendar for special music programs and join us. Here are some links
to web sites and actual music clips of our songs for you to hear:
SPIRIT OF LIFE is sung at most services. Children also interpret
the song in sign language most Sundays. A video demonstration of
a child
signing it is on YouTube here with the choir singing it,
an explanation of why we sign it here (also read the description), and instructions on how to
sign it here - permission was given by composer Carolyn McDade.
LET IT BE A DANCE is one of our favorite hymns. Ric Masten is
the composer and you can listen
to it on his site, which includes "Learn to follow, learn to lead, Feel the rhythm, fill the need. To reap the
harvest, plant the seed. And let it be a dance."
See
videos of our members singing songs from our YouTube
channel - You Are Theist, I Am Humanist is a parody satire used at our annual Fellowship
Dinner.
STANDING ON THE SIDE OF LOVE by Jason Shelton is the new "theme song" for Unitarian Universalism. An outstanding recording of this song is linked
on the publisher's site, Yelton Rhodes Music.
