MUSIC
Inside my head there is yesterdays song -Melody still singing.
In every quiet moment spaces are filled,
Pulsing rhythm and tone keeps me in motion,
A revved engine, going somewhere.
My feet want to dance, my heart to smile.
A hum, an ebb and flow, resounding.
An orchestra, energizing, soothing -
My accompaniment.
EXPRESSION
Into the resting mind comes the soundings of words,
Pulsing ideas, rhythmic spaces,
Staccato, relaxing -
The breathing of life;
Calming, dynamic, ignited.
An endless movie, patterns of form and sound,
Reels seamlessly changing. Into moments of verbal silence
Comes Beethoven's "Ode to Joy", The Hallelujah Chorus,
The wailing of Cantors,
Subliminal sufferings, joyous exaltations.
Soft soundings crescendo,
Billow and pause -
Threading sensation, emotion and thought
Into who we are.
