Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church (DMUUC) began as a traveling congregation in 1954 and met in various locations until the building of our present building in 1965. The church was named after A. Powell Davies, because he sent out members from his church, All Souls Unitarian in Washington, DC, to found this one and others. The congregation listened to broadcasts of Davies' sermons until his untimely death in 1957.
